Kennedy Jr. has a unique voice in advocating for defunding the armed bureaucracy and guaranteeing the constitutional right to medical freedom,” Matt Schlapp, president of CPAC, said in a statement to the Daily Caller. “The addition of Kennedy to such an important event is a reflection of the fragmentation of the left coalition that has awakened Marxism to the point where traditional liberals no longer feel welcome.”

In the months that followed, Kennedy’s popularity within the party declined, as he now appears more popular among Republicans. seconds to a July morning consultation survey.
