“The president is receiving information … that may not be based on reality”

For once in her life, far-left Rachel Maddow offered insightful insight after President Joe Biden's press conference on Thursday.

Appearing on an MSNBC panel hosted by her colleague Chris Hayes, Maddow questioned how the president is so sure he is his party's best chance to defeat former President Donald Trump.

I am concerned that the president is being given information about his policy position that may not be based on reality,” she said.

You think!?

Even Nicole Wallace, another rabid leftist, was concerned.

“There is no sitting president with lower approval ratings that has won,” he said, referring to President Biden's abysmally low approval rating. “There are only three with lower ratings than he has right now, and they all lost. Donald Trump, George HW Bush and Jimmy Carter.”

“Right now, there's no survey that shows that [Biden] winning,” he added.

Hear their discussion below:

Hayes, meanwhile, was baffled by Biden's insistence Thursday that he needed to be re-elected to office to “finish the job.”

He said it reminded him of a “star World Series starter in the seventh game of the World Series, who has four outs left in a tight game and has thrown 120 pitches.”

“And when the manager goes out on the mound, they never want to go,” he added.

Maddow, for her part, acknowledged the “get the job done” argument, but stressed that “there are other arguments that are also based on data so that other people can be better off.”

But, he continued, it seems his closest advisers are only showing him information “that may be sunnier than it is.”

“Recognizing that it's not just him who could beat Trump is an important kind of reality-based message to the world,” he added.

However, the only thing Biden has acknowledged is his insistence that he must stay in the race because he is the only one who can beat Trump.

He said this during his last demonstration this Friday in Detroit.

“You've probably noticed a lot of speculation lately,” he said. “What will Joe Biden do? Will he stay in the race? Will he drop out? I'm running and we'll win. We'll defend our Constitution and save our democracy!”

He then cited a recent Marist poll, a total outlier, showing him leading former President Donald Trump 50 percent to 48 percent.

“The narration [is] that my campaign has collapsed, they say”, he continued. “I am the nominee of the Democratic Party, the only Democrat or Republican who has ever beaten Donald Trump. I will beat him again. I know him. Donald Trump is a loser.”

“I am the candidate of this party because 14 million Democrats like you voted for me in the primaries. You nominated me, no one else. Not the press, not the experts, not the experts, not the donors. You have decided! No one else, and I'm not going anywhere!” he concluded.

Back to Maddow's concerns, they seem to have merit.

“Current and former Biden aides are concerned that the president is surrounded by a shrinking group of 'yes' people who are blocking negative information from reaching him,” Axios reported Friday.

“In the two weeks after Biden's disastrous debate, these concerns grew as many members of Congress had difficulty communicating with Biden,” the report continued.

The only advisers the president listens to are Mike Donilon, Steve Ricchetti and Bruce Reed: three loyal sycophants and men who are practically equivalent to members of the Biden family.

Indeed, Axios notes through its sources that “the White House is now run by 'family and staff who are effectively family,'” a group that also includes first lady Jill Biden's top aide, Anthony Bernal, and Assistant Director of Personnel Annie Tomasini.”

In other words, there's no one on the team who can offer a lens on how the rest of the nation feels about Biden…
