Because DeSantis, for all the media has hyped him up, is a mediocre governor. Sound and fury but when you look at his shares they are missing

His highly touted social media bill was shallow and only protects politicians. Their school initiatives have been paying teachers and doing the bare minimum a sane person would do to not pervert our children. Well, until they’re in 5th grade it’s open house season!

All in all, DeSantis is who he was before he became a potential threat to President Trump. He is a neocon who supports liberal free trade. Right now, every news you see about him, even the seemingly “negative” news is a front to cheer him on. It’s about getting well-meaning fools to stab the one guy who had come to beat them in the back. And then? Either way they will rig the election or let him win. Because the unfortunate truth is that DeSantis is not opposed to the system. He’s a cog, and even the actions he takes that seem to be against this system aren’t. It’s like thinking that because a clock wheel is going counterclockwise, it’s fighting against the clock. It’s doing exactly what it needs to be done.

Bottom line, DeSantis is keeping quiet because he’s waiting and seeing what happens before he makes a decision to be strong and protest Trump’s arrest or shut up and exploit Trump’s legal troubles during the campaign season. He will most likely be silent and at most make a snide comment if Trump is unable to make it to a debate. Example: “I’m the one speaking right now for X.”
