The Democratic-controlled media is reeling from former President Donald J. Trump's remarks at a gathering of black journalists, though Fox News' Harris Faulkner took a very different view.
Predictably, Trump was accused of being racist when he clashed with rude ABC reporter Rachel Scott and called Vice President Kamala Harris a sham at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) annual convention in Chicago Wednesday.
But according to Faulkner, who was one of the moderators, much of the black audience was “enjoyed” by Trump's appearance at the event even though the media has focused on those who launched a temper tantrum.

Speaking to Fox News colleague Martha MacCallum live from the event, Faulkner reported the reality that the rest of the corrupt media won't, telling her that many were happy to have the Republican nominee as a guest.
“What the nation has seen is this incredible build-up with reporters here upset that Donald Trump is coming — some of them, and some of them we really haven't heard from,” he told MacCallum, referring to reporters blacks who were in the Court.
“So what I liked about what you didn't get to see today was the amount of that audience enjoying the moment of hearing from a candidate that they might not always agree with,” Faulkner said. . “And that's the whole point. That's the growth of journalism to be able to listen and question those things that you might not know because you don't talk to that person or those people often. That was the goal here.”
“So for all that pushback, the young journalists I talk to after the event say, 'Well, we're glad it's here,'” he added.
One of those who protested the former president's appearance at the NABJ convention was Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah, the event's co-chair who resigned in anger to give attendees a rare opportunity to hear Trump without the usual dishonest media filter.
I have decided to leave the position of co-president of this year's #NABJ24 convention in Chicago.
To the reporters interviewing Trump, I wish them the best of luck.
To everyone else, I look forward to meeting and reconnecting with all of you in the Windy City. #nabj

Other black media/Democrat Party figures also threw in the towel over the invitation to Trump.

Reports of attacks on black women White House correspondents by the then President of the United States are not myth or conjecture, but fact. Having an alleged orchestrated session with the former president is an affront to what this…

You've just made the only safe haven black journalists have, potentially unsafe, all because you want to appear “smarter than everyone else,” when that's…idiotic at best. https://t.co/Lxgu9jjYIl

“In terms of the audience yelling back and having some reaction to it, it was, it was silly at times,” Faulkner added. “But for the most part, they were laughing, and they were kind of getting what they, they didn't have before that, and that was a conduit for a guy that you see a lot on TV, but I don't know a lot about the their policies”.
