For the left, few things beat skin color when it comes to qualifications for office. The amount of melanin in a person's skin is paramount to some like Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D), who let his excitement over Vice President Kamal Harris being promoted to the top of the Democratic ticket to overcome it.
The black governor was pushing skewed Democratic talking points designed to paint 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump as a racist when he posted on X: “Donald Trump is about to find out that being the President of the United States is a job black”.
Moore shared a photo of himself with Harris — the vice president's mother is from India and his father is from Jamaica:

In post-Obama America, black politicians can celebrate “chocolate cities” and brag about having the “blackest administration” in history, as Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson did, not that prevents these same politicians from revoking racism as the ultimate excuse for most failures.
Of course, if America veers off its axis and actually elects the stupid, flawed Kamala Harris president, she wouldn't be the first “black” president, and Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, would beat her.
Either way, Moore's take on Kamala Harris' candidacy is racist, as more than one social media user pointed out.
Here's a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen in X:
Everything is a race with you.

Let the baiting of the race begin.

Now you know very well that this woman is not black. But you are getting the code for the party. It's great that you let me know in the future if you're running for higher office so I don't vote for you.

Sir, Barack Obama existed. We already know that a black person can be POTUS.

Their ancestors were the greatest slave traders of the Caribbean, Wesley. What career was that? https://t.co/CyEpDcsyQm

Imagine that your world view is so small and limited.
Seeing value and purpose only in something as arbitrary and meaningless as skin color.
…and still managing to get the inheritance of the person you celebrate wrong. https://t.co/3oPrG6hnsa
