From “Iron Man 2” to Iron Man too? Elon Musk's reaction to the attempt on the former president's life played with the idea of a wonderful development.
In the immediate aftermath of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, concern for the well-being of the GOP leader and rally attendees spread across social media. As details of the tragedy revealed that Trump's fatal hit-and-run had claimed the life of a bystander, fears of more political violence saw some express concern over threats posed to the self-proclaimed absolutist of the free speech, Musk.
The billionaire tech mogul offered a solution to one account suggesting: “Better beef up your security too,” which might as well have been taken straight from the comics as he said: “Maybe it's time to build that armor of flying metal.”

As the founder of X Corp, xAI, The Boring Company and SpaceX, in addition to being the co-founder of OpenAI and Neuralink, Musk's prominent position at the forefront of technology, along with wealth, has kept him among the first level of the richest people. in the world that has often drawn comparisons to a real-world version of Marvel Comics' Tony Stark.
The Tesla CEO even made a cameo in the 2010 film “Iron Man 2” where he told Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., that he had “an idea for an electric jet” after receive a compliment for their Merlin engines.
Ironic or not, Musk, who shared an emphatic endorsement of Trump's timing after the assassination attempt, acknowledged that there had been multiple credible attempts on his own life in recent months when Ian Miles Cheong commented : “Please triple your protection. If they can come for Trump, they will come for you.”
To this, the owner of the X replied: “Dangerous times are coming. Two people (on different occasions) have already tried to kill me in the last 8 months. They were held at gunpoint about a 20 minute drive from the headquarters of Tesla in Texas.”

In one such case, it was reported that an Orlando, Florida man had been arrested in Austin, Texas the day before the Tesla Cybertruck delivery event and charged with third-degree felony terroristic threats for allegedly planning to attack Tesla's Gigafactory in Texas and Musk.
“I was going to shoot Elon Musk and the plant,” the suspect allegedly told authorities, as he believed, along with Neuralink co-founder Shivon Zilis, that Musk had been monitoring him through cameras.
While many were excited about the prospect of the entrepreneur pursuing another major tech innovation, Musk, with nearly 190 million followers on X, used his considerable platform to continue to demand accountability for the Trump rally tragedy, including his statement on Monday: “If no one gets fired or resigns, everyone should be fired.”
