Given the tragedy, David Hogg’s latest attempt to recognize the gun grabbers backfired spectacularly when his hypotheticals were defeated by his own admission of reality.
Like a bat signal for the buffoon, reports of the use of a firearm to commit evil in America drew the Harvard-educated Hogg for his latest foray into social justice. Attempting to score quick points for the massacre that took place in Maine, a Sunday morning post on X was easily demeaning to those who wanted to erode the Second Amendment.
Although not obvious to the radical activist, Hogg linked aa report of ABC News about an attempted purchase by the murder suspect from a firearms dealer that current laws prohibit from taking place as he wrote: “The shooter in Maine couldn’t get a silencer a couple of months because when he filled out the form to get the silencer he was asked if he had ever been admitted to a mental institution to which he confirmed that he had.”
“Then the weapons program refused to sell him the silencer,” he added with speculation, “who knows how many more would have died if the law had not been in place.”
The Maine shooter was unable to get a silencer a couple of months ago because when he filled out the form to get the silencer he was asked if he had ever been committed to a mental institution to which he verified that he had. The gun store then refused to sell him the silencer. WHO…

As the owner of Coastal Defense Firearms told ABC News about the suspect, “Our staff was great, let him finish filling out the form and said, ‘I’m sorry, Mr. Card, we can’t give you this …moment, we can’t release that silencer to you because of the answers you’ve given us.”
Seemingly lost on Hogg, but picked up by social media, was the simple fact that “when the law is enforced, it really works.”
Thank you for proving that when the law is enforced, it really works @davidhogg111

So laws work when they are enforced… how about…

You just said he was a banned person. Background check failed. You just said the background check failed.

Hopefully he was honest on the form..so a rule worked when interacted properly..the reason we are left armed in the desert is that no one south of our border cares about those rules. Come to any gun store in Phoenix and take a look. You never will because it won’t impress…

By now, the failed pillow entrepreneur might be used to a track record of failure, but that didn’t stop others from calling out his “default position on ‘Double down on Stupid.’
As one X user stated, “Thank you for pointing out the problem with the background check system. When you fail because you are not legally permitted to purchase a firearm or device regulated by the NFA (National Firearms Act), the police it doesn’t check you or arrest you. You want more laws that will be ignored simply because you can’t accept the reality that the current laws don’t work.”
“Why is your default position to ‘Bend to Stupid’ when you can look at the facts and recognize that it’s not the guns,” he continued. “[It’s] America’s failed cultural and mental health crisis. Fix them and these types of crimes will be significantly reduced.”
Thanks for pointing out the issue with the background check system. When you fail because you do not have legal permission to purchase a firearm or NFA device, the police do not search or arrest you. You want more laws that will be ignored simply because you can’t…

To further emphasize the refusal to acknowledge that the laws on the books really only hold back the law-abiding, others pointed to Hogg’s silence on other gun crimes since the tragedy in Maine and asked, “Why?”
Is it weird that you don’t post about the shootings in Tampa or Chicago last night? Why that?

David Hogg believes that criminals obey the law

Even more users used the term silencer over suppressor or simply mocked Hogg’s latest whiff in support of the leftist agenda.
Muffler don’t shut up mate…life is not a movie

Why would a silencer cause more deaths?
— Axiomatic Enemy of the State (@DeTocqueville14) October 29, 2023
So you’re saying gun laws don’t work and a silencer is meaningless if people have the will to do harm? ♂️ pic.twitter.com/IOZhMagHls
