It's no secret that so-called “fact checkers” are little more than partisan machinists put in place to protect the Democratic Party's agenda, and one of them just got more than he bargained for.
In a brutal segment that should be seen by all Republicans as a clinic on how to deal with media con artists, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.) dismantled a bogus “fact check” by Daniel Dale from CNN and relaunched it. the face of the network in a glorious coup on live television.
Dale, who was tasked with doing the network's counterspin for the Republican National Convention, claimed Waltz was lying about the Biden administration's push for power tanks as part of the overhaul of the 'army to make the armed forces comply with the Green New. Deal, a falsehood that CNN's Boris Sanchez brought up while interviewing the former Green Beret.
CNN “fact checker” @dda8 he should check his facts before going on live national television after my RNC speech and questioning my credibility about Biden's power tanks! pic.twitter.com/mPx9Sm4RiZ

Rep. Waltz brought up Dale's claims after his convention speech in which he said Biden is “focused on building electric tanks,” and Sanchez soon discovered he had bitten off more than he could chew while trying to do his duty. clear his CNN colleague challenged the truth.
Sanchez told the GOP lawmaker that “apparently” the tanks he was referring to “came from this military climate strategy that said they wanted to make tactical vehicles.”
“Wrong,” Waltz replied.
“Let me check your fact checker,” he said, backing up his statement with actual facts from a Bloomberg report that the military was putting the electric tanks “on hold,” as well as testimony from the secretary of the military and the budget showing green investment. In other words, the real facts that Dale couldn't be bothered to look up.
“So I would just suggest that Daniel Dale sit down with the chairman of the Appropriations Committee that reviews and approves these budgets, get the testimony and get the real facts before you question somebody's credibility on national television,” Waltz said .
“He should do it before he says it publicly. I mean, it's been on the Internet forever, he said it on air,” he added. “And when we talk about misleading, he's misleading the public, and so if he's cheating, I have all the facts, if he's cheating, what else is he cheating on?”
Sanchez defended Dale, saying that finding the truth is a “process, it's not as dry as it may seem sometimes.”
“But literally minutes into my speech, he's telling the world I'm lying. There's no way I can review the Army budget, research and development, the testimony I personally received under oath, or what Google and get the facts? replied Waltz.
The congressman first reacted to Dale's mis-verification with a post on X sharing an Inside Defense article about the push to put green tanks on the battlefield, a move based more on ideology than preparedness for in combat
“You can take your TV 'fact check' out of my speech last night,” Waltz wrote.

“The Army intends to field all-electric tanks by 2050, a senior Energy and Environmental Service official told Inside Defense on Friday, but it will take major technological improvements to reach that goal. The Army is optimistic that will have all-electric tactical vehicles by 2050, said Paul Farnan, Principal Assistant Secretary of the Army for Facilities, Energy and Environment,” the article states.
“The claim that Biden is focused on building electric tanks is false,” CNN falsely said he stated. “The Army released a climate strategy in 2022 that called for a move toward several types of electric vehicles, including 'all-electric tactical vehicles by 2050,' but that would not include tanks. And regardless, a strategy is not a mandate”.
There is a very good reason why most Americans now distrust and despise the mainstream media and their one-sided “fact-checking” schemes.
