President Joe Biden is “fuming” over Rep. Nancy Pelosi's decision to throw him under the bus as well, according to CNN's Kaitlan Collins.

“Tonight, President Biden is in isolation as he is battling symptoms of COVID-19,” he said late Friday. “But he is also figuratively isolated as he now fights new calls from his own party to exit the 2024 race.”

“The party to which Biden has dedicated his life is unleashing a new and truly public effort to push him out of challenging Donald Trump for the White House. A slew of House Democrats have joined two top Democratic senators tonight to ask Biden to step aside,” he added.

And surprisingly, Pelosi seems to be behind much of it.

“All of which, we're told, has President Biden seething tonight, with much of his anger directed at Nancy Pelosi” Collins continued. “That's because some of the names calling for him to drop out of the race are his close allies.”

One of those allies is MP Zoe Lofgren, who reportedly written a letter to President Biden this week asking him to “step aside.”

“Simply put, your candidacy is on a trajectory to lose the White House and potentially impact crucial House and Senate races,” he wrote. “It is for these reasons that I urge you to recuse yourself from our party's nomination to allow another Democratic candidate to compete and win against Donald Trump in the November election.”

He went on to speak with former President Donald Trump, who is now poised to win the 2024 race.

“We know that Donald Trump is not fit to be president,” he said. “He incited a riot to nullify the election. He published in his own words that he intends to end parts of the US constitution if he is elected president. It is essential to the American people that they do not have success in his quest for the presidency.”

Collins' report came hours after Politico reported that Pelosi has privately expressed support for an open convention so a new Democratic nominee can be chosen.

“The discussion at that meeting of the 40-member California delegation that took place at the Capitol on July 10 focused, at least in part, on the complicated next steps for the Democratic Party if Biden were to leave the ticket. And they spoke specifically to the potential political disadvantages of party elites who quickly crowned the vice president as the next nominee,” the report continued.

A report apart from the guardian revealed that “Pelosi has played a prominent role in relaying messages from House Democrats to the White House, conveying concerns that Biden will not be able to beat Donald Trump in November, and has said he believes Biden is in about to make a decision to end his campaign.”

“Pelosi has been widely reported to be orchestrating renewed pressure on Biden to drop his re-election bid, which has intensified in recent days after a brief hiatus following Trump's failed assassination attempt of last Saturday, to which the president responded with a series of authoritative statements calling for calm,” the report continued.

All of this comes amid unconfirmed reports that Biden intends to step aside and approve an open convention as soon as this weekend.

Biden will reportedly drop out as the Democratic nominee for president this weekend.

Biden will support an open convention made up of Democratic candidates.

Biden has so far resisted calls to step aside. At the moment, however, it is unclear where he is.

On the one hand, reports have emerged that he and his family have begun planning his withdrawal from the 2024 race. But on the other hand, his closest advisers have said those reports are bull.

It's not clear who to believe at this point. What is known is that the Democratic National Committee intends to declare Biden as the Democratic nominee for 2024 as early as next week. Once this is done, there will be no change of direction or going with someone else.
