(Louis Cornelius, Holder USA) Rep. Sheila Jackson LeeD-Texas, is facing another embarrassing challenge in his bid for Houston mayor, with ads that reportedly tell his supporters to vote on the wrong day.
Media reports indicate that Lee is in a runoff election against Texas state Sen. John Whitmire for mayor of Houston, scheduled for December 9. However, Lee's campaign has misinformed his alleged supporters to vote on December 7, two days before the actual election.
“I've spent my entire career fighting for you,” the ad begins. “Now I'm running to be your mayor because we're going to end crime, we're going to fix our streets, we're going to make good-paying jobs.” After the ad ends, a banner appears showing the incorrect date.

This announcement adds to the challenges Jackson Lee's campaign is facing on social media. In October, Disturbing audio has been released allegedly showing Jackson Lee verbally abusing his employees.
In an audio clip, Lee chastises an employee for not having calendar information available.
“Shit idiots serve no purpose,” said a voice attributed to Lee. “No one gives a shit what you're doing and you're not giving a shit.”
When the staff tried to rectify the apparent fault, Jackson Lee became even more enraged.
“I don't want you to do a damn thing. I want you to have a fucking brain,” he allegedly snapped. “I want you to read it. I want you to say, 'Congressman, it was such and such a date.' That's what I want. That's the kind of staff I want to have.”

The lawmaker did not publicly apologize for the alleged leaked audio. Instead, he claimed the conservative media was responsible for the filtration the haunting audio.
“This is an underhanded political tactic designed to discredit a thriving mayoral campaign and distract voters before the early voting period,” Jackson Lee's campaign claimed at the time. “Not surprisingly, these attacks originated from extremely conservative blogs and political operatives who support John Whitmire.”
Jackson Lee has represented the 18th congressional district of Texas since 1995. She announced his candidacy for mayor in March.
