Newer JD equipment even has this thing called “JD Link” which is a satellite connection to corporate headquarters where if the machine throws a code you are supposed to turn it off immediately and call the manufacturer, otherwise they void your warranty.

I’ve personally dealt with some of this junk, where the stupid machine had a poorly designed fuel rail that restricted flow, from the factory under certain conditions this was caused by a 90 degree adjustment that should have been a 45 degree adjustment.

The problem is, it wasn’t even true restricted fuel flow, but it was enough that the machine would trip the error and send a code to John Deere via the sat link. The machine worked perfectly, no problems, but they will dictate to you that you have to do exactly what they say or you will lose your warranty on an incredibly expensive piece of equipment.

I have flat out refused to own another piece of JD gear ever again.
