Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) could have a lot of trouble helping Hunter Biden challenge his congressional subpoena.
On Wednesday, the First Son scandal celebrated a press conference outside the Capitol during which he played the victim of the “MAGA right” and rejected his scheduled House Oversight Committee testimony.
With his lawyer and Swalwell at his side, Hunter insisted that President Biden had no financial involvement in his shady dealings.

“My father was not financially involved in my business, not as a practicing lawyer. Not as a member of the board of Burisma, not in my association with a private Chinese entrepreneur, not in my investment or abroad , and certainly not as an artist,” he said.
According to the Washington Examiner, “The young Biden had offered to appear publicly for a congressional hearing, but had declined to testify privately, arguing that it could lead to selective leaks.”
Apparently, Swalwell couldn't resist the chance to stand in Hunter's shadow.

RealClear Investigations reporter Paul Sperry reported to X: “House sources say Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, as a member of the Judiciary Committee who subpoenaed Hunter Biden, 'aided and abetted' a crime this morning when I was working with Hunter's attorney, Abbe Lowell. to help Hunter ignore the contempt of Congress subpoena.”

In an “update” to the story, Sperry later revealed, “Hill sources tell me GOP leadership may file an ethics complaint” against Swalwell.

X users called on Congress to take action against the insufferable Swalwell, who is probably best known for sleeping with a Chinese spy and farting on national television.
“He serves on several committees, including the House Judiciary Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is also a member of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Committee on House National Security,” one user wrote. “He should be removed from all his committees!”
“An ethics complaint is not good enough,” stated another. “The man belongs in prison.”
“Eric Swalwell should be kicked out, as should George Santos,” declared a third. “Santos was kicked out for less than that.”
He serves on several committees, including the House Judiciary Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In addition, he is a member of the US House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on Homeland Security.
