Entrepreneur warns small business owners about a Kamala presidency: 'There's too much regulation'

A successful businessman who has lived the American dream is concerned about the negative impact a potential Kamala Harris presidency will have on small businesses.

“I think business men and women are definitely concerned about a presidency led by Kamala. I really think they are, and I think as far as she is, they probably should be,” Shawn Meaike told Fox News Digital.

“I think that's a very valid concern and it breaks my heart because America has been built on entrepreneurial spirit … entrepreneurial spirit,” he continued. “And it's a lot harder today than when Trump took office.”

Meaike is worth “more than nine figures” with real estate, waste management and life insurance businesses and noted that the business owners who now come to him for advice seem to have something in common.

“I've had a lot of people … who have never voted Republican, who are businessmen and women, tell me, 'This current administration has made it virtually impossible for my business to survive,'” Meaike said, noting that the administration under Harris and President Joe Biden has been hurting employers.

“All policies are advantageous for people who are not building a business. They are not advantageous because you are trying to do your own thing. There is too much regulation,” he said.

Taxes are likely to rise as Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expires next year. And while Harris has yet to share any of his policy plans, his failed 2020 campaign included a stock and bond trading tax, a carbon pollution tax and an increase in corporate taxes. The Biden administration's inflation and minimum wage hikes have helped hurt business owners, as has the general lack of law and order in Democrat-run locales.

“People want to be safe. They don't want to rob stores in Oakland, and the police take three hours to respond. They don't want people to lose their American dream. They don't want people to take to the streets, burn the flag, paint monuments with spray, threaten people … people don't want that,” Meaike said.

“They want to go to work. They want to be safe. They want to pay off the mortgage. They want to take care of the children”, he added. “It's not that complicated.”

Biden announced “more than 18 million new business applications” in one statement in June, he said his administration is “supporting this unprecedented wave of entrepreneurship with historic investments in small businesses and communities across the country.”

But Meaike believes Republican nominee Donald Trump has what entrepreneurs and business owners need.

“Say what you want about Donald Trump. He's a businessman,” Meaike said.

Rich Dad Company co-founder Robert Kiyosaki recently touted Trump's “genius” with money management while blasting Biden and Harris as “idiots.”

“No one has done more damage to the economy than Biden and Kamala,” said Fox Business host Neil Cavuto.
