After emerging victorious last Friday, E. Jean Carroll took a victory lap in the corporate media on Monday to detail her plans to use $83 million from the former president to “cause him pain.”

After previously getting $5 million from her civil suit against former President Donald Trump that found him liable for assault and defamation, the author was awarded more than $83 million in damages from a New York City jury in his subsequent libel suit.
As the former president's legal team looked toward the appeals process, Carroll appeared on ABC's “Good Morning America” alongside his attorney Roberta Kaplan to lay out charges against Trump intertwined with threats of more litigation
Welcoming her to the show as one might congratulate an actress who had just won an Academy Award, host George Stephanopoulos smiled as he cordially asked, “Is it settled yet?”
“What a great question,” he began with a laugh. “The joy was so great on Friday. It filled me up, it was almost painful.”
“Today I am very happy because I am calm enough to realize what [Kaplan] he did,” Carroll continued as the former Clinton White House communications director wondered before exchanging smiles with jurors before seeking information about her plans for the payout.
“I don't want to waste money,” the author said before explaining what that would look like. “Well, I have an idea. I'd like to give the money to something that Donald Trump hates. If it's going to hurt him to give money to certain things, that's my intention…
As Stephanopoulos searched for an example, he offered one, with an allegation against the former president: “Maybe a fund for women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump.”
The media barrage that included appearances on CBS and CNN Monday morning repeating many of the same details also meant Kaplan was undaunted by the potential for delays in receiving the eight-figure sum.
As detailed, while the appeals process is underway, Trump is still expected to pay Carroll in full or could try to secure a bond that would come with interest and fees if he could find a willing financial institution to lend him tens of millions of dollars.
“Wherever it goes,” Bruce Green, director of Fordham University's Louis Stein Center for Law and Ethics, told The New York Times, “he should be able to pick up.”

On the possibility of Trump repeating the comments that landed him with the defamation lawsuit, Kaplan told Stephanopoulos, “All options are on the table. If we have to bring another case, let's bring another case.”
Meanwhile, social media users pushed back at Carroll's behavior on the show and slammed GMA for the “disgusting” display.
She proved to be a money hungry, man hating woman.

That was disappointing GMA. And his response to what he'll do with the money: “I'll put it on anything Trump hates!” It left a sour taste in my mouth. I love GMA with my morning coffee, but this interview has me thinking it's time for a change.
