In front of former President Donald Trump's historic conviction on 34 felony charges, Joe Biden remains seemingly unfazed. Despite concerns among Republicans about the possibility of politically motivated prosecutions once presidents leave office, Biden has expressed a level of confidence that has cast doubt on his integrity.
At a White House gathering honoring the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy pressed Biden on whether criminal charges could await him after his term. Unsurprisingly, the president was defiant, stating: “Not at all. I did nothing wrong. The system shows that.”
JUST IN: Joe Biden says he's not worried about being charged with a crime because he “didn't do anything wrong” after being called out by Fox News' Peter Doocy.

Asked how the outcome of the trial might affect the former president's political fortunes, Biden sounded downright dismissive, saying, “I have no idea.”
Pundits on the political left have seized on polls showing some Republicans are questioning their past support for Trump after his conviction. That, however, doesn't sit well with Biden, who scoffed at the idea of any possible wrongdoing with a snide comment: “I didn't know I had that much power.”

Biden's comments were markedly different from his previous statements and seemed to suggest an over-reliance on the integrity of the country's deeply flawed justice system. At another White House event, Biden played down Trump's claims that a rigged system influenced the final verdict in his trial. Biden said the former president's accusations were “reckless, dangerous and irresponsible” and that we must respect the flawed decisions of the justice system regardless of their merits.
