Donald Trump Announces Re-election Bid: ‘We Will Make America Great Again’

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump officially announced his re-election bid for the 2020 United States presidential election. In a speech delivered at a rally in Orlando, Florida, Trump declared that he would “Make America Great Again” and promised to continue the policies of his first term.

The rally was attended by thousands of supporters, many of whom have been with Trump since the beginning of his political career. In his speech, Trump highlighted his accomplishments in office, including the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the appointment of two conservative Supreme Court justices, and the withdrawal of the United States from the Paris Climate Accord. He also promised to continue to fight for “fair trade” and to protect the Second Amendment.

Trump also used the speech to criticize his opponents, including the Democratic Party and the media. He accused Democrats of wanting to “take away your guns, destroy your Second Amendment,” and to “impose socialism on the United States.” He also accused the media of “spreading deranged conspiracy theories and outright lies.”

Trump’s announcement of his re-election bid comes as no surprise, as he had previously hinted at the possibility of running for a second term. In the weeks leading up to the rally, the Trump campaign had been ramping up its fundraising efforts, and the president has been actively campaigning in key states.

Trump’s re-election bid will be a test of his popularity and his ability to win a second term. While his approval ratings have been relatively stable since taking office, there is no guarantee that he will be able to win a second term. It will be up to the American people to decide whether they want four more years of Trump or if they would rather have a new president in the White House.
