Don Lemon goes to Jersey to ask Trump or Harris and the result is OR PU

A road trip gone awry saw Don Lemon laugh as he dismissed answers that he didn't like pitting Vice President Kamala Harris against former President Donald Trump.

“I know you feel that way, but that's not really what the record shows.”

The former CNN anchor and short-lived X host joined the Democratic pilgrimage to Chicago ahead of the nominating convention. Along the way, an attempt to take the pulse of voters by interviewing men on the street made Lemon feel at odds with reality, as the talking points failed to sway public opinion.

“Hey Jersey…Trump or Harris?” he captioned a video clip posted on X Saturday that has since racked up more than 1.6 million views.

“Four years ago it was much better. I made a lot more money than I do now,” one man could be heard telling Lemon on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in an interaction he was willing to broadcast.

“I know you feel that way, but that's not really what the record shows. The economy is actually better with Biden,” Lemon responded, prompting laughter from the man as he insisted, “No, I'm serious.”

The respondent asked a question of his own asking, “Do you watch CNN?” putting Lemon on the defensive as he insisted, “No, no. That's not because I watch CNN.”

This wasn't the only time his claims inspired by the Biden-Harris/Harris-Walz and corporate media were dismissed as one woman explained to him: “Well, I want Donald Trump. I just think we need someone with a background stronger with the military and the world at large.”

In response, Lemon gave a quick summary of Harris that fell flat as if it were an argument that said, “She was a prosecutor and an attorney general and a senator and a vice president.”

Part of his unshared interaction on X had been posted on the commenter's TikTok account where his argument about “statistics” about the economy was met with a definitive, “Bullsh*t.”

“Trump looks like he's got it in the bag right now,” said one man who admitted he supported the Democratic Party while another announced: “Trump for the win.”

“Tell me why,” Lemon pressed as the man volunteered, “I can't say that right now. But, I just feel she's not good for the presidency. She's a good vice president, but not for the role principal of the country”.

“Does it have anything to do with being a woman?” he wondered, trying to get another failed narrative out of it only to be told, “No.”

While one person he spoke with said how illegal aliens were seen entering the country from the water in San Diego and how the Biden administration was even responsible for sending tens of thousands of people, Lemon found himself facing another who favored Harris to win despite his support. for Trump

“Why don't you like Harris?” came the question before the proffered answer, “Oh, she has no experience.”

After the failed face-to-face gaslighting, social media users added a reality check to Lemon and his approach that summed up: “”The statistics say you're wrong about your personal finances ” that's one hell of a way to converse with people, Don.
