Diddyis giving his first words about the videotaped beating Cassie … saying he “takes full responsibility for his actions” and claims he's already gone to rehab.
She posted a video on Sunday morning, looking directly into the camera, saying: “It's really hard to reflect on the darkest moments in your life, but sometimes you have to. I was screwed. I mean, I hit. background.”

He says he's making no excuses for his behavior — the brutal March 2016 assault on his then-girlfriend Cassie while they were staying at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. Surveillance video, obtained by CNN, showed Diddy chasing her down a hallway, grabbing her by the scruff of the neck and throwing her to the ground … where he kicked and dragged her.
Diddy claims he “sought professional help” after the incident. He says I had to go to therapy. Enter rehabilitation. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace.”
He did not offer any details on how long he was in treatment.

He ended the video with an apology… “I'm so sorry, but I'm committed to being a better man every day. I'm not apologizing. I'm so sorry.”
What's interesting is that he didn't directly apologize to Cassie, so the video comes across as more of an apology to the audience than to the victim.
Of course, Diddy and Cassie continued to date on and off for 2 years after the hotel attack…so, it's likely that he apologized to her at some point during that period. In fact, they attended a Hollywood premiere of one of his movies just two days after that 2016 assault.
Remember, Cassie described the attack on the sexual assault lawsuit that he filed in November against Diddy, a lawsuit they both agreed to settle just one day later.
At the time, Diddy's lawyer stressed that the deal was in no way an admission of guilt, and Diddy himself would later deny all the allegations leveled against him in several judgments.
