Democratic leadership has yet to condemn the violent pro-Palestinian protest right outside their own headquarters

Prominent Democratic lawmakers and organizations have yet to condemn the violent pro-Palestinian protesters who battled police outside the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters.

Protesters outside the DNC tried blog exits from the building and officers resisted in a violent pro-Palestinian protest Wednesday night. Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, Sen. Chuck Schumer, the White House, the DNC and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) did not respond to multiple requests for comment on the protest-turned-riot.

“Sometimes saying nothing says everything. Several officers injured in the line of duty and the Democrats can’t even offer a simple thank you, let alone condemn the anti-Semitic riot. The stark truth is that these pro-Hamas rioters represent the Democrats’ base of support and are terrified of offending them,” NRCC Communications Director Jack Pandol told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

About 200 people gathered to protest outside the DNC in what US Capitol Police called a “non-peaceful” gathering. Six officers were injured in quelling the protests due to violent crowd action, and one person was arrested in the wake of the riot.

Several senior members of the Democratic caucus had to be evacuated from the DNC headquarters, including Jeffries, House Minority Whip and Rep. Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, Rep. of California Pete Aguilar, Rep. of Washington and the chair of the DCCC , Suzan DelBene and several others, seconds on CNN.

“Last night, pro-Hamas protesters outside the United States Capitol violently attacked the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee. I condemn this criminal activity, which injured six brave Capitol Police officers, in the strongest possible terms. As Americans, we must come together with one voice to stand firm in support of our ally Israel,” House Republican Speaker Mike Johnson said in a press release.

Clark, Aguilar and DelBene also did not respond to DCNF’s requests for comment.
