Dem strategist won't say whether Biden and Harris are a 'dream team'

-

A Democratic strategist during an interview with Fox Business on Monday avoided directly answering a question about whether President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are a “dream team.”

Biden published a photo of himself, Harris and their spouses, referring to the group as a “dream team” on Saturday. Maria Bartiromo, host of Fox Business he asked Democratic strategist David Carlucci agreed with the characterization of Biden's group on “Mornings With Maria.”

“David, can you really look someone straight in the eye and tell them you think Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are America's 'dream team'?” Bartiromo asked.

“Well, I think they're our best option,” Carlucci replied. “Yes, we'd always like to have someone bigger, stronger, smarter, more similar, but we don't have that option, and so what I'm saying here is that Biden might not be the most exciting, but Trump.. . yes, it's exciting in its base, it's red meat in the base, but it's lima beans in the rest of the country. And we see that with the independents, we see it with the Democrats. And to win, you're going to need some, so Trump is extremely strong with his base, but he's very weak with independents and undecided voters.”

Biden's pass score fell to an all-time low of 34% at Monmouth University in December poll, down 4% since September. In addition, almost 75% of voters sees Biden as “too old to run for president.” seconds to a September poll by The Wall Street Journal.

Former President Donald Trump is ahead of Biden in all six battleground states polled for a hypothetical 2024 showdown. seconds to a recent survey by Redfield & Wilton Strategies.
