Dem Rep somehow blames Trump for Biden's disastrous debate performance

Democratic Rep. Troy Carter of Louisiana claimed on Tuesday that President Joe Biden's dismal debate performance was due to former President Donald Trump “distracting” the president.

“The circumstances that led to this, a combination of not being 100% healthy, having the former president whistling and making noises around him, distracting him and maybe even being overprepared. These are all things for which we'll be better prepared for, and I suspect you're not going to see a performance of what you did Thursday or so,” Carter told Acosta of Biden's debate performance, who did not challenge the claim.

Carter and CNN did not immediately respond to questions about Trump's alleged conduct during the Daily Caller News Foundation debate.

“You'll see the Joe Biden you saw the next day and you've seen every day since that debate: an energizer, coherent, well-planned, and understanding of the policies he's worked so hard to make happen. to be able to articulate them from up,” Carter said. “I think that's what you're going to continue to see.
