A self-promoting gospel singer’s attempted unsolicited and impromptu on-board performance almost got her booted from a flight as she wondered at stop requests.
In a video posted to her own social media account on Friday, vocalist Bobbi Storm, 36, could be seen in a confrontation with a Delta flight attendant before take-off as she boasted: “I’m chart right now on the billboards.”
Taking to Instagram, the video, which showed her standing in the aisle and confronting a Delta employee who was later identified as the flight leader, was captioned: “At the end of the day, God is glorified!!!! Say -me how are you choosing love on purpose??? Blessings to you all from your #FearlessFlightSinger.”
Moments after agreeing to sit down, Storm insisted, “The seat belt signal is off. It’s not a disturbance,” as the assistant came over to make sure she was following instructions. However, when she turned around, she continued to address the passengers: “It’s been a long time since I’ve been singing on planes. I just found out I’m up for two Grammys. My first time, guys.”
After earning some applause from those close to her, the vocalist, a contributor to Maverick City Music’s ‘The Maverick Way’ compilation album, continued: ‘I sing to the Lord, and my song comes out in every platforms. It’s called ‘We can’t forget him'”.
“I want to share this with you,” Storm added before the attendant returned and asked, “Will you be quiet?”
“But they’re enjoying themselves,” she tried as he informed her, “I’m not enjoying myself. So I’m asking you, can you shut up?”
Indicating it was a “yes or no” question, the singer replied: “Are you going to jail if I don’t?”
Invoking God in his response, he insisted, “I’m doing what the Lord tells me to do,” and as the Delta employee asked for his compliance, Storm addressed the passengers, trying to get them to rally in support of she acting
That’s when he was told, “If you can’t follow my instructions, you won’t take this flight.”
The video continued with her agreeing, “If that’s the case, it’s fine,” as she proceeded to sing anyway for those closest to her. She returned to Instagram on Saturday to claim: “No rules were broken. It was me sharing my joy with people after they gave me the chance to do so.”
Also claiming that Delta had apologized to him for the interaction, Storm wrote: “Case closed and again GOD GETS THE GLORY!!!!!… Thank you @delta execs for reaching out and doing this fine with me!!!” as she stated that she did not want the assistant to lose her job and: “I just hope that if he watches this, he can learn a valuable lesson about how to treat others.”
Despite her high opinion of herself, many social media users did not react positively to her behavior in the video, criticizing “narcissism at its best” and mocking her display of ” right”.

No one answers because they don’t want to hear it. Good voice or not, I’ve been in these tin boxes when someone starts doing this and it’s the worst. It doesn’t matter what they sing about. Stop being so narcissistic and enjoy your flight.
