Delta hit from all sides as flight attendants wearing Palestinian flag pins ignited firestorm

Delta Airlines has come under fire for deleting a reply to a tweet complaining about flight attendants wearing Palestinian flag pins, then issuing an apology.

Earlier in the week, an X user posted a screenshot of Delta flight attendants wearing what they called “Hamas badges.”

“Since 2001 we've been taking our shoes off at every airport because of a terrorist attack on American soil. Now imagine walking into a [Delta] fly and see workers with Hamas insignia in the air. What are you doing?” the account asked Wednesday.

Initially, Delta responded in a way that appeared to be sympathetic, angering leftists. This response was quickly deleted by the company.

“I hear you as I personally would be appalled too. Our employees reflect our culture and we do not take it lightly when our policy is not followed,” wrote the airline's official account.

In its place was an apology that angered conservatives.

“On Wednesday we withdrew an answer that did not fit our values. We strive for an environment of inclusion and respect for everyone, in our communities and on our planes. The responsible employee no longer supports Delta's social channels. We apologize for the harmful post,” the post reads.

Unfortunately for Delta, neither side of the political aisle was happy with the situation or its handling.
