I WILL SEE:
“For me, I have always been a Democrat. And it's like, for the most part, with the Democratic party, they always make a bunch of promises that they can't keep,” said a voter named Daryll.
“You know, they're using the issues of the African-American community as a soap box to stand on and make promises, you know, just to get us out and vote,” said a voter named Erica. “And then once we vote and everybody's in place, it's like, well, what happened?”
Johnson asked the panel what the reasons for the change are if the polls are really accurate that Trump is winning with black americans.
“I wish I knew. I'm not a big fan of Trump. He doesn't respect the black person,” a supportive voter Biden said
“And Biden does?” Erica retorted. “Has Biden apologized for the things he's been caught saying?”
Darryl chimed in to suggest that the president, when running in 2020, he said Radio host Charlamagne Tha God “if you're having trouble figuring out if you're for me or for Trump, then you're not black.”
Erica acknowledged that both candidates have made “questionable and nasty” comments.
“So yeah, I guess some black people screw Trump,” Johnson concluded.
Charlamagne and listeners of his show, “The Breakfast Club,” criticized Biden on Tuesday for being a “horrible” presidential candidate.
“He's never been a good candidate,” the radio host said. “And if it wasn't for all these unfortunate events that happened in 2020, I don't think I'd be president now.”
