We've all had bad days, days when it feels like Murphy is hitting your last nerve with his crazy “Law” and nothing is going your way.
Few of us, however, would lunge at a district judge while shouting, “Fuck that whore!”
But that's clearly what Deobra Redden, a 30-year-old felon, had when he lunged at Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus in Las Vegas and knocked her off her seat: a ” bad day”.

Judge Holthus was about to sentence Redden on one count of attempted assault with great bodily harm. Holthus had denied Redden's request for parole. Citing Redden's violent past and long rap sheet, Holthus was sentencing the offender to prison.
“I think it's time for me to try something else because I just can't with this story,” he said.
That's when Redden lost it and jumped over the bench.
A group of judicial and police officers took a few minutes to remove the convict from the room.
Holthus's attacker allegedly slammed his head into a wall during the brutal attack and Judge Marshal Shane Brandon received 25 stitches for the cut to his face and suffered a dislocated shoulder, as reported. 8 News now.
The outlet reviewed court documents from the wild event, which revealed the brutality of the attack.
Redden allegedly pulled Holthus' hair from her head and punched her once in the head in addition to slamming her head against the wall. Judge Holthus managed to hide under his desk “covering his face,” the documents said.
After being treated at the justice center by medical staff, continued pain forced a family member to take Holthus to the hospital.
“Redden also punched and kicked a corrections officer who was present in the courtroom, according to the documents. Holthus' clerk, Michael Lasso, was cut several times on the hand in the melee,” reports 8 News Now. “The photos showed a bloody scene, with blood on Holthus' bench and documents scattered around the area.”
“It was just total chaotic commotion,” witness Daniel Martin told 8 News Now Investigators. “Honestly, I was really shocked like I've never seen anything like that in my entire life, it looked like something from the NFL or something.”
Holthus described Redden as “big, loud and angry,” police said, and Martin wanted to help her during the attack. It was her public defender, she said, who advised her to stay back .
“I was conflicted,” Martin said, “because as a natural man you want to protect a woman.”
Once he was finally subdued, Redden was thrown into a cell near the courthouse. While there, he reportedly told an officer, “The judge has it for me,” according to court documents.
Another officer said Redden asked him if what he did was wrong.
“The judge is bad,” Redden said. “I'm sorry you had to see this.”
