After President Joe Biden bombed his debate against Trump on Thursday, the corporate media finally kicked in admitting that the president's mental faculties and physical fitness have rapidly deteriorated.
The American people know this from their basement campaign in 2020. Before the debate, however, the likes of NBC News, CNN and The New York Times ran headlines claiming that the videos capturing various moments of senior Biden were right-wing “disinformation.”
Now the media has admitted why they lied about Biden's health for so long, and it's pretty embarrassing. “White House reporters” told CNN they feared “a pushback … from the White House and the Democrats.”
An anonymous White House reporter told CNN, “It's clear the age stories that have angered the White House (and the liberal Twitter sphere) the most.”
Who cares if it pisses off the administration or the “liberal Twittersphere.” Their job is to ask questions and report on consequential issues like the president's cognitive decline.
As real journalist Glenn Greenwald he wrote to X, “If you don't report the big stories about the most powerful people in the country, all because you're afraid of incurring the wrath of the WH, the Democrats, or the 'liberal Twittersphere', you are many things. 'Journalist' no it's one. It's so pathetic.”
“That said, I 100% believe that a desperate desire to avoid pissing off the WH, the Democrats, and the 'liberal Twittersphere' is absolutely the primary motivation for most people working in corporate media,” he said. add Greenwald. “Why don't they go work for the WH or the Democratic Party?”
