Fox Business Network host Elizabeth MacDonald exposed the sheer hypocrisy of Vice President Kamala Harris's sudden advocacy of not taxing tips.
The new Democratic favorite surprised the senses when she flagrantly booted Republican nominee Donald Trump's “No Tipping Tax” proposal while speaking Saturday at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas — the state has the highest concentration of tipped workers in the country.
However, as MacDonald noted, the IRS started a new program last year that allows tips to be monitored through the employer's point-of-sale system.
“Kamala Harris' first big political idea is to steal Trump's 'no tax on tips' when she backed Democrats' $80 billion for more IRS audits, including tip income” published MacDonald in X. “The Biden-Harris administration also launched a novel IRS crackdown on tips, bringing the IRS inside the door of bars and restaurants to directly monitor tips in the cash register, “at the point of sale.” He also supported $1.7 million in spending legislation that expected taxpayers to report their $600 phone application transactions to the IRS without that she and the Senate read the bill (later deemed unsustainable).

Trump responded to the theft of his proposal on Truth Social, insisting that Harris would not follow through and implement the idea.
He posted: “Kamala Harris, whose 'honeymoon' period is over, and is starting to get hammered in the polls, has just copied my NO TIP TAX policy. The difference is that she won't , he just wants it for political purposes! He has no ideas, he can just steal from me. Remember Kamala has proposed the BIGGEST TAX INCREASE IN HISTORY. It won't happen! !!”
