What's wrong with an impressionable young man learning about responsibility and hard work while earning a few extra bucks? All if you are a communist
Somehow, someway, a short clip of a jolly young man, presumably a 14-year-old teenager, working at a Burger King register made it onto the Internet, and boy did it provoke some lefties.
While social media is full of sick videos showing fights, robberies and all kinds of uncivilized behavior in fast food restaurants, this polite young man got nervous with those who claim to censor. child labor!
In the video shared by 'Tired Peasant' who describes herself as an 'apocalyptic poet' and 'communist mom', the boy with a small smile seems to know his stuff as he explains the prices to a customer.
“That'll be two dollars and eleven cents,” he tells the woman who ordered a cheeseburger.
Shocked by the price, the customer responded by sharing a bit of nostalgia.
“Two dollars and eleven cents? .. Cheeseburgers at McDonalds used to cost 69 cents when I worked there at my first job.”
He smiles again and shows her where the napkins are.
And that's all it took for the leftists to be virtually alerted to an innocent young man.
“Child labor is back in action in the United States,” the communist mother blared.

Her tweet and comment got over four thousand likes, but the backlash must have been brutal because she followed it up with another defensive tweet.
“You're absolutely right. Committees don't want kids to work. We want them to be kids.”
Well, guess which mom? Showing up on time to get behind a counter, learning a new POS system and dealing with demanding customers for a few hours a week doesn't rob you of your childhood as a teenager… it sets you up for life!
It goes without saying that the communist's controversial take went viral and the responses were golden:
So I take it you never worked as a teenager?

This kid will own a Burger King before the age of 30, while you'll probably overdose in an apartment full of shit and cat pee.

A 14 or 15 year old working an easy job with virtually no risk in a low crime area to spend extra money while gaining work experience.
What's the problem?

Ha! Probably true.
But wait… we have another “child labor” sympathizer:
“pay the bills” bro wants to buy some shit and he earns it. Committees want to be given things, capitalists work for them.

Fortunately, the comments were overwhelmingly in favor of the guy's work and his friendly attitude.
This is almost exactly me in the 80s, working part-time at fast food at 15 for money to buy a car.
The experience of being responsible and having a work ethic was so traumatic that today I am worth seven figures.

Do you think this child has the ability to consent to sex reassignment surgery, but have a problem with him taking a part-time job to save money for his future and gain valuable experience interacting with clients? I had a job like this when I was 13 and it was great for me. https://t.co/AQKHKHmnSP

I applaud this kid for getting a job and learning about responsibilities at such a young age. He also has an amazing attitude! https://t.co/u1ylc63SC5
