Something very strange happened to Stephen Colbert's audience 'clapping stamps': they forgot their directions, accidentally mocked CNN and absolutely mortified reporter Kaitlin Collins on live TV. It was great. He literally couldn't believe what he was hearing. It all started when Colbert seriously suggested that CNN is “unbiased” and only reports “news.” And yes, I honestly wasn't kidding. Meanwhile, the audience, usually primed to react only to anti-Trump crackpots and progressive bigotry, couldn't help but burst into laughter at the idea that CNN was “fair” and “unbiased.”
You could tell Kaitlin Collins was mortified and Colbert was shocked. She awkwardly asked him if it was supposed to be a “laugh line,” and he responded with a defeated “no.”
Ouch.

A scene like this highlights just how much President Trump has influenced American culture when it comes to the propaganda media. It has really helped take it apart, brick by brick. This was probably one of the most raw moments Kaitlin Collins has ever faced, especially in “friendly territory” like the far-left Colbert show. We hope it sticks with her and her co-workers for a long time.
