CNN's “Trump is a dictator” narrative is turned on its head by Doug Burgum [VIDEO]

In a recent exchange on CNN, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum voiced strong criticism of Joe Biden's use of executive orders, arguing that the president has bypassed Congress to push his ideological agenda, especially in border and student loan policies. This criticism has reactivated the debate about the limits of executive power within the American political system.

“We have three branches of government, and this president, more than any other, has bypassed Congress,” Burgum said. “As the governor of a natural resource state, a big agricultural (farming) state, we're faced with over 30 rules and mandates. Each of them could be 800 to 1,400 pages long. None of them have come from Congress , and they could all literally kill the industries we have in our state, including baseload electricity, which we have to be competitive in the arms race around AI with China, which is building baseload electricity plants , like two a month.

So this happens without Congress. And then, of course, on the student loan side, when the Supreme Court ruled against him, he said, “Hey, we'll find a different way to do it.” So I just think there's, again, a double standard here. The other two branches of government are being bypassed to push an ideological vision, whether it's about economics or climate extremism. It's doing it without using the other branches.”

CNN anchor Kaitlin Collins responded by defending Joe's use of executive orders while highlighting the constitutional framework that allows such actions. “You don't like his executive orders, and you don't like his policies. I understand that. I don't think anybody expects the Republican governor to agree with President Biden on this, but it's not a dictatorship,” he said. remark Collins.

Burgum countered by emphasizing what he perceives as a double standard in the media's portrayal of executive actions. “Well, I think again, part of where that word has come from has been the relentless media attack on President Trump saying, 'Oh, he could use executive orders when he takes office.' And I just try to do, again, note that under this current administration, most of the changes that are driving inflation in our country, things that he's not doing at the border, that he could be doing with executive orders, I mean, open borders and inflation they are things he does alone, ignoring the other branches of government.”
