CNN anchor hits back at 'disgusting' defamation of JD Vance's military service

A CNN host who singled out Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) for his military service to cover for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who misled people about his, is now back at it.

Walz, who was nominated as Democratic candidate Kamala Harris' running mate, has been the focus of controversy over alleged “stolen value” and carrying a gun during the war. On Thursday, Brianna Keilar proved she's little more than a Democratic Party activist by trying to smear Vance over his service with the Marines in Iraq.

Keilar was forced into damage control mode after being burned by the backlash for her smearing of Vance as an “imperfect messenger” for criticizing Walz by suggesting to her viewers that the vice presidential nominee of the GOP was lying about their combat duty.

“Informed observers connected to politics or the military, including myself, have noted that the Trump campaign is 'confronting' Tim Walz. The attacks on JD Vance's service are also offensive,” Keilar began, referring to to the term coined to dismiss veterans' accounts that 2004 Democratic nominee John Kerry lied about his service in Vietnam.

“JD Vance served honorably in Iraq, a combat zone where anything can and does happen. As he said in his book, he was, quote, 'lucky to escape any real fighting.' makes his service inferior. “Lucky” is what often makes the difference in a combat zone or even a training mission. “It's not your day.” say

“In a country where so few bear the burden, military service should not be a liability, it should be an asset,” Keilar continued. “And despite the last few years as a country at war, many service members haven't seen combat. That doesn't make them or their service any less admirable, or any less needed. Neither does retiring from the National Guard after 24 years .These kinds of attacks from the left or the right diminish the service of so many who have served honorably, who sacrifice time away from family, who put themselves in harm's way because the military is largely made up of JD Vances and Tim Walz.”

“They have a unique view of what America's men and women in the armed forces and their families have gone through and need, and shouldn't that be the focus?” Keilar asked. “This is a presidential race for the commander-in-chief, and often, that candidate or the running mate has never personally served, even as they compete to make decisions about sending people into dangerous situations.”

Keilar's false equivalency between Vance and the truth-challenged governor of Minnesota was derailed almost immediately after the words left her lips with the senator targeting X to bash the regime media muppet and his businessman

Keilar may have returned to his “disgusting” smear, but he stopped short of apologizing.
