CNN analyst calls Trump 'Donald Luck', says Dems are at 'a big loss' as they don't see him 'pulled out'.

CNN senior political analyst Mark Preston called former President Donald Trump “Donald Luck” on Monday, saying Democrats are mostly losing amid their streak of good fortune.

Preston on “CNN Newsroom” described the former president as “Donald Luck” while noting the misfortune of Democrats not getting their wish that he “goes out, either through the court system or through the urns”.

“It's almost like Donald's luck has this rabbit's foot in his pocket,” Preston said.

CNN's chief congressional correspondent Manu Raju interrupted to tell Preston he was “calling him Donald Luck,” laughing at the apparent error.

“Did I say Donald Luck? I mean, I did. I mean, it's Donald Luck, right? I mean, if you look at all of his wins, everything that's happened, even the assassination attempt on Saturday, like he could have gotten any strength from that. And I think, again, that's another big loss for the Democrats right now because they're looking to get Donald Trump removed, either through the judicial system or through the polls, you know, don't. I want to see him back in office,” Preston added.

Dr. Mark Siegel affirmed Monday that it is “absolutely a miracle” that Trump survived the assassination attempt, and the way he has responded is a “great sign of recovery.”

Comedian Bill Maher said On Saturday evening, Trump is “the luckiest son of a bitch to ever walk the face of the earth.”

Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday agreed a dismiss Trump's classified documents were based on the claim that the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith was illegal, writing that it violates the Appointments Clause of the US Constitution.

“After careful consideration of the fundamental challenges raised in the motion, the Court is convinced that Special Counsel Smith's prosecution of this action violates two structural pillars of our constitutional scheme: the role of Congress in appointing of constitutional officers and the role of Congress in authorizing expenditures by law,” he wrote in his ruling.

Smith accused Trump in June 2023, and the former president was face 41 crimes related to his handling of classified documents.
