Top notch country singer Morgan Wallen, 30, has been dominating the airwaves this year. However, his songs did not score highly at the 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards on November 8, and he missed out on several awards.
Wallen’s fans eagerly watched the CMAs take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., with the star nominated in three categories: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for One thing at a time.
This album had stormed the charts this year, debuting at number 1 on the chart billboard 200 when it was released in March. The album featured 36 tracks, with the song “Last Night” earning her her first #1 on the billboard Hot 100.
Despite what his supporters consider a fantastic achievement, he was defeated on the site in all three categories, losing Chris Stapleton as male vocalist of the year and Lainey Wilson, which won Entertainment of the Year and Best Album with Bell bottom country.

His resentment has outraged fans, with many sharing their anger on social media claiming he was “stolen”.
One stunned viewer shared on X, formerly Twitter: “Can’t get over the night Morgan Wallen had. ABSOLUTELY STOLEN. Smh #CMAawards.”
One disgruntled fan said: “I’m sorry Morgan Wallen didn’t win album of the year after setting all the records… agendas are definitely being pushed at the #CMAawards”
One of them shared a fan theory: “I’m convinced Morgan Wallen will never win a major award because he would be ‘controversial’ and these organizations refuse to put themselves in that situation. Total BS! He should have won the ‘Album of the Year. ! Entertainer of the Year better win. #CMAawards.”
“MORGAN WALLEN ROBBED!!!! HE GOT ALBUM OF THE YEAR!!! Here comes the LIBERAL AGENDA @CountryMusic awards!! I’m going to steal artist of the year from him,” said another.
A Swiftie spotted an opportunity and joked, “Morgan Wallen lost all her CMAs! That means less competition from country artists at the Grammys… LET’S GET THOSE VOTES TAYLOR!”
“Where are the real Morgan Wallen fans!? Let’s send her the message that she shouldn’t accept being loved! She should quit country music!” a shared loyal listener.
Why is Morgan Wallen controversial?
The young singer landed for the first time as a contestant The voice in 2014. He was 20 at the time and working as a landscaper in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Since then, his music has grown in popularity and he won Album of the Year, for Dangerous: The Double Album, at the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards.
However, it has a history surrounded by controversy.
