Kansas City Chiefs defensive powerhouse Chris Jones is making headlines for more than just his dominance on the field. The three-time Super Bowl champion has pledged $1.5 million to get a convicted cafeteria worker out of prison after she was sentenced to nine years behind bars for throwing away a staggering 11,000 cases of chicken wings, according to has reported TMZ.
Vera Liddell, 68, who worked as a food manager at an elementary school in suburban Chicago, admitted to stealing millions of chicken wings over a 19-month period. Their crime was discovered during a routine audit, which revealed that the school's food budget was exceeded.

The 30-year-old Jones, who just signed a huge five-year, $158.75 million extension with the Chiefs, is now stepping up to the plate, this time, not for the Chiefs but for Liddell. “I will pay for the wings she stole to get her free,” Jones announced in a post on X.

However, despite Jones' generous offer, legal experts say that's not how justice works. Liddell has already been convicted and sentenced, and no amount of money can undo her time behind bars unless something truly extraordinary happens.
