Chinese National Arrested Trying to Enter Mar-a-Lago Claims CCP Involved in Assassination Attempt

A Chinese national was arrested for repeatedly trying to break into former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach.

Zijie Li, 38, of El Monte, California, repeatedly tried to enter Mar-a-Lago while claiming to have documents proving China was behind the assassination attempt on Trump on 13 july

In accordance with The Palm Beach PostThe break-in attempts occurred on different days, with the first attempt occurring on July 19, when Li stopped at the compound's front gate and told Secret Service agents that he was in possession of documents that they demonstrated China's complicity in the assassination attempt against Trump.

“Officers told Li he was trespassing and not allowed to enter Mar-a-Lago, and the Palm Beach Police Department issued him a written warning,” the Post notes. “Police told Li he could not return to Mar-a-Lago or he would be arrested.”

Trump is said not to have been at the complex at the time.

Li's next attempt came a couple of days later.

“City security cameras show that Li's next visit to Palm Beach was on July 22, when he drove twice eastbound and then westbound over the Royal Park Bridge, first on morning and then in the afternoon,” the Post notes. “Trump was at Mar-a-Lago that day, having returned from Wisconsin very early the morning before.”

“On July 30, Li was spotted around 5:40 p.m. driving toward the Mar-a-Lago security checkpoint at South County Road and South Ocean Boulevard. … Li was blocking a lane of traffic, so a Palm Beach police officer stopped him and noticed that Mar-a-Lago's address, 1100 S. Ocean Blvd., was on Li's GPS system,” according to the Post.

The officer eventually released Li, who then left town but returned less than an hour later, prompting local police to tell him to stay away from Mar-a-Lago in the future. But he didn't listen.

The next morning Li was seen passing by Mar-a-Lago several times. Finally, he approached its south door and tried to enter once more, but did so in violation of the previous trespassing notice.

Big mistake…

Shortly thereafter, “Palm Beach police found him back in Palm Beach, and Li was arrested at the intersection of Royal Palm Way and South County Road, north of Mar-a-Lago,” the Post notes.

In response to their arrests, critics have raised some concerns. First, why did it take so many tries before he was finally arrested? And two, what about the documents – what exactly do they contain?

Other critics, meanwhile, suspect that Li is just crazy.

“Honestly, if the CCP wanted to take out Trump, I don't think they would recruit a young kid from Butler to walk around on a rooftop in line of sight of the SS before shooting,” tweeted one critic.

“A random guy who got busted for repeatedly trying to break into Mar-a-Lago may not be a reliable informant…” added another.

Others suggested the documents could be legitimate.

Look at:

Li's arrest on Wednesday comes the same week that Attorney General Merrick Garland reported that Iran wants to kill Trump.

“Our intelligence community has made it clear that we believe the Iranians are trying to kill or injure former senior government officials,” he said while speaking on MSNBC this week.
