China’s Liu He at Davos: Every word was a lie He said China welcomes the return of foreign investment, and contended that investors should view China…

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, China’s Vice Premier Liu He made a speech that was full of lies and misrepresentations. He claimed that China welcomed foreign investment, and that investors should view China as a stable and attractive destination. He also asserted that China is committed to protecting the intellectual property of foreign companies. However, the reality is far from what Liu He said.

In recent years, China has been accused of stealing technology from foreign companies, forcing them to transfer their technology to Chinese companies, and imposing unfair restrictions on foreign investments. It has also been accused of failing to protect the intellectual property of foreign companies. In addition, foreign investors have been subjected to increased scrutiny and higher taxes.

In spite of these facts, Liu He praised China’s investment environment and encouraged foreign investors to view China as a “stable and attractive destination”. He also claimed that China was committed to protecting the intellectual property of foreign companies. However, this is simply not true.

The reality is that China’s investment environment has become increasingly hostile to foreign investors. This is evidenced by the fact that foreign direct investment in China decreased by almost 10% in 2018. In addition, the US-China trade war has only exacerbated the problem.

It is clear that Liu He’s words were nothing more than lies and misrepresentations. China’s investment environment is far from attractive and foreign investors should be wary of investing in the country. It is clear that China’s Vice Premier was simply trying to paint a rosy picture of the country’s investment environment, when in reality it is far from what he said.
