As investigators delve into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, they face numerous questions about the welfare and care of the children in the apartment. Preliminary reports suggest a total breakdown of basic living standards, raising concerns about possible long-term neglect and abuse.
“This is disgusting,” said At-Large Councilman Michael Flaherty. “People at the scene informed me that there were drugs, alcohol, sex toys all over the apartment, as well as a dead body on the floor.”
Flaherty, the council’s Public Safety Chairman, said Herald On Monday night, the body found on the floor was “of an apparent overdose” and that “a man wearing a wig who claimed to be the father” of the children was found in a back bedroom.
