Chicago shooting with hidden support is deadly for bad guys

Shootings in Chicago are a common occurrence. A video of the aftermath shared by one of the participants is not so common.

While details are sketchy, the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. when two men in a vehicle confronted a 31-year-old man who was a concealed carrier, according to the Chicago Sun-Times . According to police, the men in the vehicle opened fire and the hidden support returned fire, hitting both men in the car.

Citing police and the Cook County Coroner's Office, the Sun-Times reported that 44-year-old Edwin Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the chest and a 37-year-old man in the shoulder The second man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.

The 31-year-old was shot in the torso and shared a defiant video clip showing his injury on Snap Chat:

“Gangsta killer, bitch. That's what I'm talking about,” says the man as the camera pans over a motionless body lying in the street.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition, police said.
