Vice President Kamala Harris has a steep hill to climb if she wants to win the 2024 election, and it looks like she's already making inroads with Gen Z.

CNN's Jake Tapper discussed the interesting strategy of embracing the “brat” trend in an effort to appeal to younger voters, who largely tend to lean left.
“Looks like Kamala Harris is leaning into this, singer Charlie XCX tweeted last night, 'Kamala IS brat' and that's in reference to her album, it's called 'brat,'” Tapper explained. “Kamala has marked her Kamala HQ Twitter page with the same album aesthetic, that's another Gen Z word, aesthetic. It's even trending on TikTok.”
Tapper then asked Jamie Gangel to weigh in.
“First of all, just for my producer, Elizabeth Stewart, who's going to spit out her coffee as I say this, I'm supposed to say 'that's a brat.' And for those who don't know what I'm like, that's great.” , Gangel joked. “It has a color, chartreuse is the color, and Kamala Harris has adopted it for whatever social media page it is. But I brought some notes because I knew you'd want the definition right. Here we come. Charli XCX, whoa that I know says, “Brat, you're this girl who's a little messy and likes to party, and maybe says stupid things, sometimes 'final date.'
A confused Tapper tried to figure out what it all meant.
“So the idea is that we're all kind of brats and Vice President Harris is a brat? I don't know-“
After some crosstalk, Tapper joked that he'll “aspire to be a brat,” getting to the real issue.
“The thing is, whether it's her or some really smart people who work for her, they're doing well. [Gen Z] in one's own language”.
While this sort of thing might inspire some younger folks to vote for America's first “mocoto” president, X users weren't so impressed:
