A California sheriff is calling out Kamala Harris for using her image in a new political ad without permission, accusing her of distorting the facts to promote her alleged record on border security, reports say. Fox News.
Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, who has served in the sheriff's office for 37 years and currently heads the California State Sheriff's Association, was surprised to see his picture on the Harris's latest ad. The ad portrays Harris as a strong border security officer, a claim Boudreaux says couldn't be further from the truth.

In a statement released to Fox News Digital, Boudreaux made it clear: “In light of a recent political ad released by Kamala Harris featuring Sheriff Boudreaux as well as other local law enforcement, the sheriff wants to leave a lot clearly her image is being used without her permission and she is NOT endorsing Harris for president or any other political office.” Boudreaux also recalled a visit Harris made to California's Central Valley in 2013 when he was the state's attorney general. He noted her dismissive attitude during the visit and criticized the ad for presenting misleading information about her background.
The ad suggests that Harris spent decades fighting violent crime as a “border state prosecutor,” but Boudreaux sets the record straight. He recalls that Harris visited the Central Valley in 2014 to promote a long-running investigation into a multinational drug operation linked to Mexican cartels and prison gangs. Despite the operation resulting in 11 arrests, including that of so-called kingpin Jose Magana, Boudreaux argues that Harris did little to address the real problems at the border.
“The truth is that Harris never cared about the cartels and did nothing to stop people from crossing the border illegally,” Boudreaux said. “This ad is all smoke and mirrors.”
Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward, also featured in the ad, echoed Boudreaux's sentiment. “Hypocrisy has no limits. It's false and his campaign ad, somehow now, touting his reputation as a prosecutor as a positive thing, he was attorney general under three of the worst tragedies to ever befall the citizens of the state of California.” .
Boudreaux's political action committee, Golden State Justice, also condemned the ad, accusing Harris of undermining California law enforcement's efforts to combat the flow of guns and drugs across the border. “Kamala's sad attempt to paint herself as tough on the border by implying my support, and the support of neighboring law enforcement leaders, is pathetic,” the PAC statement said.
The ad claims Harris will “hire thousands more border agents and crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking.” But Boudreaux and Ward aren't buying it. “How can you come in and promote that you were this tight-lipped border person when all the troops are crossing the border?, and you are literally removing all these workgroups? I mean, that drove us completely crazy,” Boudreaux said.
Boudreaux concluded by making it clear, “I can't stand Kamala Harris.” Ward agreed, adding that a simple warning about its inclusion in the ad would have been the least Harris could have done. “I do not in any way want the use of this photo to be interpreted as an endorsement of her (Harris) in her candidacy, current candidacy, or even in her tenure as state attorney general of California.”
