BREAKING: Fox News has temporarily replaced Tucker Carlson with a new host for its Primetime lineup

Fox News has tapped Lawrence Jones, a 30-year-old self-proclaimed libertarian, to temporarily take over as host of Fox News Tonight, the interim program in the time slot where Tucker Carlson Tonight used to air.

Jones, who hosts Lawrence Jones Cross Country on Saturday nights for the network, is also said to be the “youngest black solo anchor of a cable news program in history.”

The network contributor often hosts morning segments for Fox & Friends, where he travels the country, serving breakfast to local diners and talking to residents of the local community.

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson, who was Fox’s highest-rated host, made a surprise appearance on Twitter after his departure, during which he noted the importance of breaking out of the noise and how many genuinely nice people there are in this country that matters what is true.
