Tragedy struck in Brownsville, Texas, when seven people lost their lives and six others were injured in a horrific incident on Sunday morning.

According to police, a Range Rover SUV intentionally ran over the victims as they waited at a bus stop near a migrant shelter in the city.

Although bystanders managed to restrain the driver before police arrived, the motive for the attack remains unknown. The suspect is currently in custody and is being investigated.
The incident has sent shock waves through the community and local authorities have expressed their condolences to the families of the victims. The names of the dead have not yet been released and the injured are being treated at local hospitals.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the Brownsville tragedy has been identified as a Hispanic man and arrested, Fox News reported.
Police have confirmed that the suspect is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and is under 24-hour guard. Authorities are conducting tests to determine if the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident.
Brownsville Police Department Commander Ray Sandoval revealed that the driver has been arrested for reckless driving and additional charges will be pending. Sandoval also stated that investigators are now treating the incident as intentional.
