A boy has died just days after suffering a cardiac arrest at Legoland Windsor.

The five-month-old boy was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being “seriously injured” at the popular attraction.

Police today confirmed that he sadly died in hospital after the horror Thursday.

A 27-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of child neglect has been released on bail until July 26.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone queuing for the Coastguard boat ride between 11.30am and 12.45pm on Thursday to get in touch.

The ride involves kids and adults driving a Lego boat around a narrow body of water.

Members of the public are understood to have rushed to the boy's aid as the horror unfolded.

A witness claimed that a woman started screaming “help, my baby is in trouble”. Mail online reports

Two paramedics who were nearby at the time rushed to perform CPR on the baby.

Matthew Burns, 60, said he and the other ambulance worker helped the boy for 20 minutes until he got breathing again and was taken to hospital.

Police confirmed they are working “closely” with the team Legoland following the tragedy.

Detective Constable Zoe Eele, from the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “We are investigating a distressing incident involving a very young child at Legoland Windsor earlier this week.

“Firstly, our thoughts are with the family of the boy who sadly died in hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest. We are giving them the best possible support in these difficult times.

“We have made an arrest in connection with this incident and are not looking for anyone else as a suspect.

“I would ask the public to please refrain from speculating about the incident and to respect the boy's family at this deeply troubling time.”
