As news of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' alleged affair spreads, one man is more than fed up with the dirty politics in his backyard.
Derrick Blassingame didn't mince words as he addressed the Board of County Commissioners, conveying the frustration and outrage felt by many like-minded people across the country.

“I'm done with Fulton County in our elections. I'm done with the mismanagement of our taxpayer dollars by Fulton County Democrats in this body,” he declared. “I am disgusted by the information that comes out of the prosecutor's office as a taxpayer. I am done with most of your silence in the face of the DA's apparent love affair with the special prosecutor and the mismanagement of taxpayer dollars to pursue what appears to be a frivolous lawsuit based on partisan politics.”
But Blassingame was just getting started.
“Looks like guys like me need to woo the women executives of Fulton County if we want a free trip, all expenses paid. Looks like we need to go after Natalie Hall and Fani Willis or maybe the executives of other departments if we want a full travel and a full salary,” he said. “The DA appears to be trying to protect past elections, but on information and belief, is trying to interfere with future elections by trying to convict a candidate before the general election.”
Then he got down to business.
“I'm calling for the county auditor of the district attorney's office to immediately conduct a financial audit,” he demanded. “There's no way you're going to get more money when you're spending money for supposedly unnecessary and frivolous purposes. Also, these judges need to hire lobbyists instead of crediting this board with these mediocre PR stunts. The court of “Instruction still needs a systemic boost and an IT transformation that the Secretary of the Superior Court has achieved. It must come together.”
After being notified that he only has 15 seconds left for his comments, Blassingame makes one last demand on the board.
“Finally, I urge you to appoint Julie Adams to the Board of Registration and Elections without delay. We need someone who is transparent, who is open and open-minded to all concerns and who can serve the needs of the people.”
