Bongino sounds off on alleged Secret Service ban on Trump-favored red ribbons: 'It's going to hurt'

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino has alleged that current Secret Service agents can't wear a red tie because of former President Donald Trump.

Speaking on his podcast last Friday, Bongino claimed the rule was instituted after a Secret Service agent guarding Trump was spotted wearing the same color tie as him.

“What if I told you right now that there was an edict put out in the Secret Service about what color tie you can wear. … Now, I worked there for 12 years. I don't remember ever getting a memo about tie colors. Ever.” , said Bongino.

“But the story gets even weirder. Why the hell would Secret Service leadership be concerned about people's tie colors? Maybe because some of the people who run the agency have gone crazy and become on Biden's ass-kissing,” he added.

According to Bongino, the “scandal” erupted when The Guardian published a photo of a member of Trump's detail wearing a red tie.

“And all of a sudden, the red tie thing became a big scandal,” he explained. “Why would the red tie issue become such a big scandal? What was in the tie – cocaine or something? No. It was the same color as Donald Trump's tie.

The ridiculousness of the order was too much for him.

“What the hell!?” he exclaimed. “This really happened. … What's going on? They're Biden's detail agents, if they're wearing Ray-Bans like Biden when he's pretending to be a fake tough guy, they're going to be accused of being Biden supporters because they have Ray-Bans ?

“What kind of stupid e-mail edict was that? Guys are mad. They're like 'we can't wear red ribbons!?' Mr. President, I'm telling you right now, President Trump, clean up this management when he's elected. . . . It needs to be cleaned up. They all have to go. They all have to go. There are crazy people right now,” he added.

Later in the full episode of the show, Bongino warned that these kind of stupid and senseless edicts will hurt the former president.

“[Trump’s] the threat level is through the roof. If that's what they're worried about, you're going to get hurt,” he said.

In response to those allegations, some Trump supporters worried that the administration is deliberately trying to make the former president stick out like a sore thumb.

All this comes about a year after author Chris Whipple published a book, “The Fight of His Life,” in which he claimed Biden believes his Secret Service agents are loyal to Trump.

“A bigger issue was Biden's discomfort with his Secret Service detail; some of them were MAGA sympathizers. I didn't trust them,” Whipple wrote, as reported last year the hill.

“Surrounded by a new phalanx of strangers, Biden couldn't help but wonder: Do these people really want me here?” it continued.

They certainly didn't want their dog there. Remember how Biden's old dog repeatedly bitten several Secret Service agents.

Yet surprisingly, Biden was so suspicious of his own Secret Service detail that he didn't believe the scathing story.

Biden “wasn't buying the details,” such as the location of the incident, though he did not dispute that the bite took place, Whipple wrote. Biden told a friend that Secret Service agents never to be at the scene of the incident, which was allegedly on the second floor of the White House,” according to The Hill.

“Someone was lying, Biden thought, about how the incident had gone,” Whipple wrote.
