BLM calls out hypocritical installation of Kamala Harris by Democrats [VIDEO]

Black Lives Matter (BLM), a radical leftist activist group, has denounced the Democratic National Convention's plans to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris as the presumptive Democratic nominee.

In a statement issued yesterday, the group asked the DNC to establish a process that allows for public participation in the nomination process before the August convention.

The group, which received recognition for spearheading the national protests that followed the death of George Floyd, said the current nomination process lacks democracy and is at odds with the installation of Kamala Harris as a presumed candidate.

The group has questioned whether a 24-hour process to speak with party leaders is undemocratic and has demanded that the Democratic Party create a process for citizen participation in the nomination process. BLM has claimed that installing Kamala Harris and the unknown VP without a public voting process would make the Democratic Party a party of hypocrites.

Joe Biden's exit from the presidential race and the nomination of Harris as a candidate on the first ticket increased internal party pressure against Biden. Such a move could certainly lead to the manipulation of black votes by Democratic Party elites and billionaire donors.

BLM has pointed out that the current democratic principles ignored by the Democratic Party are unacceptable and calls for decisive action to protect the integrity of the dialogue and the voices of black voters.

While BLM does not criticize Kamala's or black women's qualifications or abilities, BLM seriously questions the Democratic Party's nominating process.

Shalomyah Bowers, one of BLM's leaders, emphasized that democracy is at the heart of the resulting frustration among the group's participants. The group is serious about the process that will lead to the nomination of Kamala Harris and the unknown vice president. They will need a process driven by the people; anything less is not serious about democracy.

The nomination of Kamala Harris shows the kind of political climate practiced within the modern Democratic Party, where things are done behind closed doors, depriving the public of the power to express their democratic rights.
