Blinken dressed her son as little Zelensky for the White House Halloween party

The once torrid national love affair with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may have cooled, but hero worship is stronger than ever in Washington, DC.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken showed his love for the money-grubbing Eastern European strongman by dressing his young son in a miniature version of the green army uniform that passes the Zelensky’s Sunday best and took him to the White House Halloween gala along with his daughter who was dressed as a Ukrainian flag.

Biden didn’t give little “Zelensky” the more than 60 billion he’s asking Congress to send to the war-torn country, but he did drop a package of M&M’s with the presidential seal into Blinken’s son’s bag and not even he did cough him up like he did some of the other kids at the event.

The combination of Blinken’s children offering bags of candy for candy and Zelensky’s asking for billions was too much for X users to resist and they took to the platform formerly known as Twitter where they had just ‘write the jokes.

Less than a year after the publication bestowed the high honor of “Person of the Year” on Zelensky, the new article paints a much less flattering picture of deception, denial and corruption.

The stunning article gathers information from some of the Ukrainian leader’s intimates, one of whom said that “Zelensky feels betrayed by his Western allies. They have left him without the means to win the war, only the means to survive it,” a feeling that is compounded as the latest aid package remains stalled in Congress.

According to Time’s Simon Shuster, who wrote the article, “Amidst all the pressure to stamp out corruption, I assumed, perhaps naively, that Ukrainian officials would think twice before accepting a bribe or pocketing state funds. But when I said this to a top presidential adviser in early October, he asked me to turn off my audio tape recorder so he could speak more freely. “Simon, you’re wrong,” he says. “People are stealing like there’s no tomorrow” is not the kind of PR the Zelensky regime needs with tens of billions at stake.

“Despite recent setbacks on the battlefield, he has no intention of giving up the fight or suing for any kind of peace. On the contrary, his belief in Ukraine’s ultimate victory over Russia has hardened in a way that worries some of his advisors. He is unmovable, bordering on messianic. “He is deceiving himself,” one of his closest aides tells me in frustration. “We are left with no options. We are not winning. But try telling him that,’” says the Time article.
