Blaze Media reporter covering J6 cuffed by FBI

Steve Baker, an investigative reporter for Blaze News, has been officially arrested by the FBI after being singled out for reporting on the January 6 riot.

“JUST IN: Blaze Media Investigative Journalist Steve Baker (@TPC4USA) has been taken into FBI custody, allegedly for his J6 report. Baker previously said he did not know what the charges against him were, but was told they were non-violent misdemeanors. “The prosecutor informed my attorney that I had to arrive at the FBI field office in 'shorts and sandals,'” Baker said, investor Collin Rugg posted on X.

“'They didn't have to go that route as we've been told my charges are non-violent misdemeanors. It seems they feel the need to give me a dose of the personal humiliation treatment.'' Baker reportedly to be present at the J6 riot as a freelance journalist. Absolutely insane,” Rugg added.

A Blaze Media video shows Baker handcuffed and being pulled by two FBI agents into a car that appears excessive since he turned himself in. He is reportedly being charged with four misdemeanors.

Charges include:

• Knowingly enter or remain in any building or restricted land without lawful authority.
• Disorderly and disruptive behavior in a restricted building or area.
• Disorderly conduct in a capitol building.
• Parade, demonstrate or picket a capitol building.

Radio host Glenn Beck refers to Baker as a wonderfully soft-spoken person and is stunned by how he's being treated three years after covering the Jan. 6 event. It seems to be becoming an example of considering that journalists from the mainstream leftist media were also there that day covering the story and have not been charged.

“So mentally… how are you doing?” Beck asked Baker before turning himself in.

“I have my moments. Um, I'm fine. I'm, you know… I've had over two years to prepare for this. I've got it all planned out in my head. Um, I'm not going to sleep tonight. I'm not even going to try . Uh, it's my way, anyway. And so, I'm just going to get ready, pray, and then I'm going to put on my suit and tie and walk in with my head held high,” Baker replied.

Beck said, “Good for you.”

Glenn Beck, the founder of Blaze Mediahe went on to say in a post, “Baker is the guy who got a lot of the tape out on Jan. 6, the guy who's been putting the pieces together before anyone else was putting them together. This man is a reporter, and a excellent. And that's why they're after him. On Friday, the FBI arrested this reporter and handcuffed him without even telling him in advance what he was charged with. He could serve prison time, because he's a reporter that does its job.”

Chris Bray on Blaze Media also wrote: “Today, the Biden administration arrests a right-wing journalist for covering a political event, and the grown children who told you Donald Trump looked a lot like Hitler to post mean tweets about CNN shut up. like Steve Baker is handcuffed.”

This happens right after veteran journalist Catherine Herridge was fired from CBS News for covering a story about Chinese American scientist Yanping Chen and allegations of espionage. Now she is accused by a judge of not revealing her sources.

The reason veteran journalist Catherine Herridge is being scorned for refusing to divulge a source is because her reporting exposed a Chinese Communist military officer who runs a school in America.

The Biden regime always protects Chinese spies.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was outraged by the prosecution of Baker, especially three years later, writing to X: “The Biden regime just arrested reporter Steve Baker for covering Jan. 6. Owen Shroyer was also shut down. Free Press has died in the United States as the government imprisons journalists who refuse to report the regime's political agenda and lies.”
