NASCAR's top drivers converged on Iowa for the 2024 Iowa Corn 350, marking the series' first Cup race at this short track. The new surface presented challenges for many, including Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch, who struggled and fell in the standings.
In the end, Ryan Blaney was victorious, earning his first race of the season. Blaney, the reigning Cup champion, dominated the race leading 200 laps, more than he had led all season to that point. Despite a strong push by Hendrick Motorsports star William Byron in the closing laps, Blaney held onto the lead.
