U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) had a no-nonsense response to an irate Iowa protester who accused former President Trump of being racist just before he was kicked out of the gym.
“Tonight, at the Timberline Caucus, as I talked about on behalf of President Trump an enraged man tried to stop my speech,” Hunt wrote on Monday X night. “He yelled that Trump was 'racist.' You know, the same tired cliché we've heard over and over again.
“But on this day, of all days, Martin Luther King Day, the people of Iowa, like President Trump, judge me not by the color of my skin but by the content of my character. The anti- Trump is in full meltdown,” he declared.

The Texan was campaigning for Trump before the Iowa caucuses took place, which the former president won by nearly 30 points in a landslide victory among Republicans.
“How can a black man do this on Martin Luther King Day?” the bewildered protester yelled at Hunt, interrupting him.
“The man accused Hunt of 'degrading himself' and 'turning his back' on black people as he tried to confront Hunt. before being slowed down by other members of the audience,” Fox News reported
NO Republican has won a contested Iowa caucus by more than 12.8%.
Tonight, Donald Trump won by 30.
It's time to rally around the man who WILL BE our NOMINEE and the next President of the United States.

While criticizing Hunt, who had stopped his speech mid-sentence, the speaker was subdued and forcibly removed from the room by members of the audience. This move was met with loud applause.
“I come from a district in Houston, Texas, which is a majority white district and I won by 30 points,” Hunt told the audience after the protester was ejected. “Because on days like this, I realize that I'm literally being judged not by the color of my skin but by the content of my character.”
“And when I walk into rooms like this, I see no race, no religion, no color, no creed. I see my fellow Americans who must unite in this fight to save our country. And the same loyalty we must do is the same loyalty that I've seen from President Trump,” he told Trump supporters.

She closed her speech with a touching story about her little girl and the former president.
“And I'll end with a quick story. Talk about this one. We go to the Iowa State Fair every year, and my five-year-old daughter loves President Trump. She saw President Trump in the distance. I hit her on the shoulder,” Hunt explained.
“I said, Mr. President, I want you to meet my five-year-old daughter. He said, well, where is she? And he looked down and saw her. He picked her up, looked at her and said, 'You're a beautiful girl and you can be anything you want in this world, and your daddy loves you,'” she added.

“And he sat her down again and looked at me and said, 'Mr. Hunt, he's going to be somebody in this world. I knew right away that this guy was a grandfather. He does it because he has grandchildren too. And that's why is he fighting to save the soul of our nation, not just for me, not just for you, not for my children, not for their grandchildren, but for our future,” Hunt said.
“I encourage all of you to support Donald John Trump. Thank you very much, and God bless you,” he said at the end of his talk with Iowans as he urged them to re-elect the former president.
